The healers

In the novel I am reading, The Healers. There are a lot of different themes, and I am noticing the plot is already starting to form. I just recently started my book but I am about a quarter of the way through it, on chapter 6. So far I have noticed how a small innocent girl is changing grown ups ideas about suicide. This shows how speaking up can change a persons life forever. I am also noticing the conflict of the dark sprits against the little girl. I am curious of how they will change and defeat the healer, the little girl. At this point I am very interested in finding out answers to my questions and I will continue with my reading.

The Healers

I have not yet started my new book called "The Healers" but I am very exited. The author, Donna Labermeiser has a bachelors degree in English literature and has spent years studying healing and spiritual development. She decided to base her first novel off of that background- The Healers. Donna lives in Cincinnati, Ohio with her husband and two daughters. The book has many great reviews from readers. I also read the back and the story line seems that 3 teenagers with special powers are trying to heal the world before its too late. This plot is really drawing me in and caused me to pick up the book. I hope you will also decide to read the fresh new novel The Healers.

Summer Reading

The book that I read was called The Fault In Our Stars by John Green. I really enjoyed the book and you would if you read it as well. Many different age groups would enjoy it. From teen to adult- not younger kids that are not mature enough to understand the book. The writing style of the book was from, Hazel- the main charactes view. I liked that is was from her point of view because I could really realate to her and see her inner feelings. Hazel is batteling lung cancer throughout the book. It is amzing because you see how her characer grows throughout the book. At the beggining of the book Hazel was in depression and felt there was no reason for herslef to live. She stayed home most days and gave up on life enen though her parents gave her support. One day her mom forced her to go to a cancer religious support group and her life was changed. She met her new best friend and true love, Agugsus Waters. She also met many new friends in the support group and her outlook on life was slowly changing. Her and Agugtus did everything together. They spent most of there time reading there favorite book, an Imperal Affliction. Later they met the author but Hazel was disspointed when she found out who he really was. Hazel learns how to be strong and how to live her life to the fullest. I learned many lessons from Hazel and how we must strive for the best everyday. This is why I highly reccomend The Fault In Our Stars.
